California Uniform Public Construction Code Accounting Act (CUPCCAA)

The California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act (CUPCCAA) is legislation designed to streamline and standardize bidding and accounting processes for public construction projects. It allows public agencies to use informal bidding procedures for projects under a specified cost threshold, reducing administrative burdens and promoting efficiency. Agencies must opt into the Act and follow its guidelines, including maintaining a list of qualified contractors and adhering to transparency and fairness in awarding contracts.
