Santa Maria High School Admin to Classroom, 17-267.2.1

The alteration and renovation of the existing Administration building to a classroom building. The renovated classroom building will consist of 9 classrooms, offices, a staff room, and student and staff toilet rooms, and associated site work. New power and data will be provided in each of the classrooms, staff room, and offices. Additionally, new mechanical and plumbing systems will be provided. This will include new heating and cooling units, air registers, and new distribution system in limited areas. new building piping including gas and water, as well as new plumbing fixtures. New architectural finishes will be provided including flooring, carpeting, ceilings, wall covering, and paint. Subject property approval is conditional on the alteration not exceeding 50% of replacement value. Construction work must be stopped if determined that the threshold is exceeded, and if so, then approval for a rehabilitation report and a mandatory seismic upgrade will be required prior to completing construction.

This Addendum modifies and becomes part of the Contract Documents for the project named above.

Prospective Bidders shall acknowledge receipt of this Addendum in the space provided on the Bid

Form. Failure to do so may subject Bidder to disqualification.

1. The Request for Information (RFI) period remains the same and will close May 17, 2024, at

2:00:00p.m.

2. The final addendum is anticipated by May 21, 2024 at 2:00:00p.m.

3. The Bid Opening Date and Time Change: Change Bid opening date from May 24, 2024, at 2:00pm

to May 29, 2024 @ 2:00pm.

4. Attached is the revised Document 00 21 13 Instructions to Bidders, which includes changes to

item 3. This Document will replace the previously issued Instructions to Bidders.

a. Item 3, second paragraph is replaced with the following:

“In order to be prequalified in time to bid, Contractors must submit the prequalification

questionnaire of financial statement no later than 11:59:59PM, May 10, 2024; and must be

deemed prequalified by the District no later than 5:00:00PM, May 20, 2024. (Public Contract

Code § 20111.6)”

This Addendum No. 1 shall be attached to and form a part of the contract documents. The receipt of

and examination of the addendum, as part of the contract documents, shall be acknowledged by the

bidder as provided in Section 00 41 13, BID FORM & PROPOSAL, of the contract documents.
